Metro Cinema is a not-for-profit Society, and we are responsive to the ideas and desires of our membership. Members have an opportunity to help shape the future of Metro by voting in general meetings andelecting the volunteer board of directors, and in return members get quarterly Member Nights—and soon there will be some additional brand new perks.
Currently, Member Nights are our Kino Confidential screenings, which entitles registered Metro Cinema Members to free entry, a small popcorn, and a small drink! And what is Kino Confidential you ask? It is a film unbeknownst to the audience until it begins—a game of chance, for those brave enough to take a risk.
Metro Cinema Society membership starts and ends on the date of our annual AGM, which is at the end of November. There are three ways that you can become join within a November to November membership year:
- Volunteer a minimum of 12 hours at Metro Cinema.
- Donate $100 or more at one time to Metro Cinema. (A charitable tax receipt will be offered for your donation. You can donate to us at the theatre, or via Canada Helps).
- Purchase a Silver Screen pass.
