Metro Cinema is a not-for-profit Society, and we are responsive to the ideas and desires of our membership. Members have an opportunity to help shape the future of Metro by voting in general meetings, electing the volunteer board of directors, and soon you’ll get additional brand new perks.
Currently, Member Nights are our Kino Confidential screenings. Kino Confidential is a film unbeknownst to the audience until it begins, and for “Member Night” screenings it entitles registered Metro Cinema Members to free entry, a small popcorn, and a small drink!
Metro Cinema Society membership starts and ends on the date of our annual AGM, which is the third Sunday of each November. There are three ways that you can become join within a membership year (Nov–Nov):
- Donate $100 or more at one time to Metro Cinema. (A charitable tax receipt will be offered for your donation. You can donate to us at the theatre, or via Canada Helps).
- Volunteer a minimum of 12 hours at Metro Cinema.
- Purchase a Silver Screen pass.
