Philosophy in Film

In this ongoing film series, the co-hosts of the podcast “Philosophy in Film” will guide us through some of the fun and interesting philosophical ideas raised in a number of compelling films.

 

 
“Philosophy in Film” Co-Hosts:

*Dr. Alain Beauclair is an Associate Professor of philosophy at MacEwan University. He works in the areas of ethics, American philosophy, and philosophy in film. He is the co- director of the Association of Philosophy and Literature, a board member of the International Society of Philosophy in Film, and co-host of the podcast Philosophy in Film.

 

*Dr. Chris McTavish is a Faculty Member with the Humanities Centre at Athabasca University. He works in the areas of ethics, phenomenology, and philosophy in film. He is a co-director of the International Society of Philosophy in Film and co-host of the podcast Philosophy in Film.

 

*Craig Nickel is the resident non-academic co-host on the Philosophy in Film podcast. A gainfully employed Soil Scientist by day, Craig brings an “everyman” approach that helps to ground the philosophical discussion with a mix of curiosity, skepticism, and humour.
