Join the Mosquers Film Festival for a screening of the award-winning documentary KHARTOUM directed by Anas Saeed, Rawia Alhag, Ibrahim Snoopy Ahmad, Philip Cox, and Timeea Mohamed Ahmed, who will be joining for an in-person Q&A.
From the metropolis of Khartoum, five Sudanese characters: a civil servant, a tea lady, a resistance committee volunteer, and two street boys, all in search of freedom, have their stories unexpectedly woven together through animated dreams, street revolutions, and a civil war.
After its world premiere at the World Documentary Competition of the 2025 Sundance Film Festival it has screened in the Panorama section of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Peace Film Prize earlier this year.
Presented by the Mosquers Film Festival. Co-presented by Sudan Solidarity Collective and the Sudanese Cultural League of Edmonton.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards humanitarian relief in Sudan.
