Paleontologists Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler and mathematician Ian Malcolm are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park’s mastermind assures everyone that the facility is safe, the group soon finds out otherwise.
Dinosaur clones, an isolated island, a tropical storm, and unsupervised children…what could go wrong? Public interest in ancient life grew to new heights after the release of this film. UAlberta’s renowned dinosaur researcher Dr. Philip J. Currie will give opening remarks. Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction will support the University of Alberta’s geoscience museums.
