As the effects of climate change intrude into daily life, ecological grief is not an abstract concern but an intimate experience of watching what we love become increasingly vulnerable. But what can grief for a world on fire teach us about what is at stake, and what is worth fighting for?

On October 3rd, the Climate Change & Health Hub invites you to join them for Climate Health Action Talks: Film Screening of THE MAGNITUDE OF ALL THINGS. The film weaves together personal, environmental, and collective stories of ecological grief. Drawing parallels between the film maker’s personal experience grappling with her sister’s cancer diagnosis, and accelerating environmental loss, the film explores how facing grief can also reveal love, courage, and the drive to act.

The event will open with a 30-minute conversation on ecological grief with leading scholar Dr. Ashlee Cunsolo, in dialogue with climate-mental health researchers Dr. Sherilee Harper and Stephanie Olsen. Together, they will explore how ecological grief can open pathways to resilience, solidarity, and transformation.
