Do I Look Like Him? is an exploration of black masculinity and identity through film. Oftentimes black men are defined through stereotypes and reduced to statistics, making it harder for them to come into their own identities. In this series of films, black men are haunted by the world as they look for their place in it.

About the guest programmer: Sahal Jeilani is a cinephile, writer and recent Library Tech graduate who loves superheroes, JRPG’s and the 2007 cult classic TMNT. He enjoys long walks on the beach as long as they’re followed up by a movie night. He curated this series to draw attention to the complex perspective of black masculinity in cinema, and so that their friends would finally watch his movie suggestions.
