Singing Back the Buffalo follows Indigenous visionaries, scientists and communities who are rematriating the buffalo to the heart of the North American plains they once defined, signalling a turning point for Indigenous nations, the ecosystem, and all of our collective survival.
In celebration of their 20th Anniversaries, the Centre for Literatures in Canada (CLC) and the Association for Literature, Environment, and Culture in Canada (ALECC) are jointly hosting Cross-Pollinations, a conference at the University of Alberta from June 16-20, 2026. The theme of the conference is “Cross-Pollinations in Ecological Literary Studies.” More information is available on the conference website.
